Research Background

I started my academic journey focusing on Bio-refineries during my Bachelor's degree, working with the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) in Pune to turn agricultural waste into useful products.

My research quickly expanded into broader sustainability topics. I learned rigorous methods like Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to evaluate environmental performance, focusing on developing things like sustainable silica replacements and low-cost adsorbents made from waste.

Inspired by this experience, I pursued a Master's in Sustainable Systems Engineering in Germany. There, my interest naturally moved to Renewable Energy and the challenges of the modern electric grid. I began exploring Energy Modeling and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) systems, which required me to dive into data science and coding.

After masters, I put those combined skills to use in Energy Modeling, writing software to optimize electric vehicle charging and maximize the use of renewable energy. That professional experience confirmed how much I enjoy writing code, which ultimately led to my full-time transition into Software Engineering.
